Times for one km….
On the treadmill at home <10mins
On the walkway >12.5mins
On the walkway knowing The Shaker Tin is closing in an hour <11mins!
Nothing like a yummy smoothie incentive to keep the pace up! And it was sooo yummy, tempted me away from my usual tea… (okay I had that afterwards!)
Been really interesting with my want to walk more recently; had all the intentions and wanted the results, but the bit in between was just not happening….
Until I aligned my goal with my core values, not just the short term goal of the smoothie; but a longer term goal, and now it does not feel a chore and I want to do it.
I tend to do it first thing in the morning, but if for whatever reason that hasn’t been able to happen I can definitely start feeling the need to do it later on in the day. So good to get out my head, release whatever may have been starting to percolate and reconnect with my heartspace.
I remember reading that President Eisenhower is regarded to be one of the best presidents of the United States, apparently he was the one that also spent the most time on the golf course.
He gave his ‘peeps’ the strict instructions not to disturb him or talk politics unless it was a country emergency….
A correlation? I’d say so!
