Recently I received this feedback from a beautiful soul that I have been working with.  Her words seem to sum up what life coaching is in such a beautiful way, I thought I would share for those that may be wondering if it is for them or someone they love…..

*What did you hope to get from coaching with Liz? Were your expectations met?*
I hoped to feel better about myself, and my place in the world. I hoped to solve what felt like a massive disconnect from myself, the world and people around me. I hoped to feel alive again and reclaim something lost.

My expectations were certainly met, thanks to Liz’s intuition, heart, wonderful listening ears and words of wisdom. Because she is so well-read on so many approaches to self-development / spirituality etc, my sessions with Liz could be likened to a creative artwork, where there were no boundaries, I could say anything and not be judged, and I could begin to paint my self in a new colour..

*As you went through the coaching journey, how did it change things for you?*
I got to ‘get out’ everything I had been holding in for so long.. I felt listened to, I felt heard, supported and truly loved and accepted… that was the start. I became more in-tune with my old ways of thinking and behaving and seeing them in action.

I tried new approaches suggested by Liz and found they helped. I started reading books, listening to my intuition, and paying attention to things I had once so desperately wanted to change; but helplessly shoved under the carpet for another day. I started having dreams again, and started connecting to me. Gradually the feeling of disconnect reduced; and I felt more present, more alive and more comfortable in my own skin.

*What new strengths/insights can you see have emerged from the experience? Or what will you do/are doing differently since the coaching?*
Liz helped me see that the old way I reverted to thinking was holding me back in many areas of my life.

Since the coaching I am putting the pieces of my story together, and I’m much more conscious of putting myself first… Doing what pleases me frightened me at first, until I realised that it is the most important first step.

*Would you be happy to write a few words about your experience that may help someone else who is thinking of starting the Life Coaching journey?*
If you’d like to open up to somebody in a safe, secure place about whatever is troubling you or holding you back in your life, life coaching is a wonderful option. Sometimes we aren’t fully aware of things that a life coach can help us to see, and it can be a great starting point for self-discovery and honesty.

Weekly sessions with a life coach meant that I could no longer ‘put things on the shelf’ for another day; I had the opportunity to regularly self-reflect and journal on things I wanted to change in my life.

Plus, forming a connection with a life coach opens up many doors in terms of self-development… Liz was a wealth of knowledge on many topics and she leant me some of the most incredible books at the perfect time.
Think of life coaching like giving yourself a gift.. the most precious gift you could give yourself, the opportunity to journey into yourself and even beyond yourself.. For me, it was the start of my journey to self love.
