I know the clocks have gone back now and the nights are drawing in, but seriously it still does not feel like Autumn over here in New Zealand, so it did not seem out the ordinary that on Sunday I had a mahussive spring clean…

It was one of those ones where you just want to tidy up one room, but then that doesn’t seem enough and each room seems to get a lot worse, I mean a lot worse, before it shows any resemblance of order!

ANYWAY the point of this exercise was to declutter and my wonderful friend Nikki Williams has done a great video on this, showing how its not just food and exercise that play a role in your wellbeing but also lifestyle choices that play a role, how you choose to live your life.

Is your house chockablock? Are you full to the brim? Is every available space in your house full of boxes, do you have drawers that are overflowing? Is your head full of ‘stuff’ from the past, that really and truly it is time to get rid of and move on from…..?

Are there things that you can delegate or give to someone else? What about the stuff that needs to be chucked once and for all? Most importantly are there gems hidden away which actually need to be brought to the forefront and celebrated?

What would it feel like to have space, space to relax, space to work, space in your head to think, space in your heart to love…. Space not to fill with anything else, but just to have space….

In Nikki’s video she talks about writing a list of all the jobs that need doing around the home and working through them, break it down and make it more manageable.

Over coffee this morning my friend talked about ow when she had to deal with something she spoke to someone that cared, someone that could do something about it and then moved on….

Whether it is in your head, your home or your heart that you need space, make that list today, spek to someone that cares or can help and start tackling it, time to stop living in yesterday’s ‘stuff’…..
